We're into week 3 of prep for "A Country Called Home" and having a great time being in Texas! Things are getting done and checked off of our To Do Lists. On a few hours away from work over the weekend we've enjoyed fried pickles, getting Boo into wearing cowboy hats (he needs that shade in this heat) and an unforgettable concert by "The Relatives" at the Continental Club in Austin.
Last week we turned the keys on the ACCH production office, which is now officially open for business thanks to the hard work of our line producer Patrick Stapleton and production coordinator Alyssa Ann Evans. Anna and our awesome production designer Jake Kuykendall spent a good part of last week visiting shooting locations and discussing the look and feel that Jake will be designing for the movie over the next couple of weeks. The producers and Anna have also had some great cast options come in and we are excited to share more details on cast with you soon!
Most of our key out-of-town team members arrived yesterday and will be temporary Texans for the next 6 weeks. Our wonderful and very talented costume designer, Nicole Schneider, will be sourcing costumes in and around Austin this week. TK, our kickass 1st AD, and Anna will be fine-tuning the schedule for the shoot and Ryan continues to work on music for the film. Needless to say, we have lots going on and will keep you posted!
